The “Broadcast Mobile Convergence Forum” (bmcoforum) is an international non-profit organisation targeting to shape an open market environment for mobile broadcast services.
The more than 100 members of bmcoforum join forces to identify relevant content and services, support technology standardisation and implementation, as well as lobbying for spectrum and suitable regulatory framework, to accelerate commercial implementations of new user experiences in receiving broadcast services and initiating interactivity at mobile devices.

Samsung will launch this month the i6210 device allowing ISDB mobile TV reception. It will be available at US$ 324. - European Comm. (2008 11 11)
The European Commission is set to present a new guidelines aimed at paving the way for the spread of mobile TV in Europe. It plans to give clear guidelines to the industries involved in the business and will also try to facilitate collaboration among broadcasters and telecom operators. - Motorola (2008 11 10)
Motorola presented its portable Mobile TV DH02 terminal at Futurecom 2008, the telecommunications trade show held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, last week. The 4.8 inches equipment offers 480 x 272 resolution and enables DVB-H mobile TV reception. - China (2008 11 06)
Tianyu has integrated Telegent’s technology into the hybrid CMMB and analog handsets, sold in China. Tianyu recently introduced the K-Touch DT08/DT28 series TV phone combining the benefits of digital picture (CMMB) and the wide coverage/content (analog TV). - Austria (2008 10 30)

Brazil aims to expand ISDB nationwide in five years and make the service popular in ten. First transmissions are targeted to be carried out in Florianópolis and Puerto Alegre over the next few weeks. Brazil expects that ISDB will turn into Latin America´s standard. - Colombia (2008 10 28)
